Bicycle clothes or urban samurai outfit?

ACRONYM® Acronymjutsu [LFDB] from ACRNM on Vimeo.

A friend sent me a link with some new urban clothes from a german design team called Acronym. Very nice stuff, the only problem will probably be the price points. If you like what you see head over to Acronym and check which shop is closest to you.

Bicycle vs Car in Stockholm

Saw this post a long time ago and I was happy to find the link again this weekend. If you live within the green area you can reach the middle of Stockholm within 30 minutes. Pretty similar to the amount of time it takes with a car, I do however not know if they calculated the time to park your car etc. Besides the time you also save money and do not need to spend your free time on the treadmill. Boom!

Patrick Seabase vs Simplon Super8

SEABASE vs SIMPLON Super8 from BRASCONA on Vimeo.

Here is a new version of Patrick Seabase’s ride up and down Simplon, this time captured on Super8. I think it takes some guts riding that kind of mountains considering there is a lot of snow surrounding the road. Spotted over at Paticks own blog

Fixed dexiF

Fixed dexiF from DanNasser on Vimeo.

This is short re-edit from different fixed gear movies, it starts with the scene where Massan is doing a classic hill bombing in SF and after that there are some tricks, very nice edit and music. enjoy.

We are happy to announce that we now have Oury grips in stock! These are one of the worlds most popular grips and we can just agree, they are super comfy and last for a long long time. We now have the Oury grips in the following colors: red, black, blue, yellow, white orange and bubble gum pink. Head over to our shop to grab a pair for yourself shop!

Wald bicycle baskets - your best friend at the picnic

I first spotted this Wald basket 2009 outside bluelug in Tokyo, I snapped a photo of it and now we are very happy that we have it in our store. Guessing from the picture we choose a slightly smaller model which we think will fit your bike better. Wald baskets are made in USA, in fact the company was founded before the good old T-Ford hit the road, back in the day when the majority of the population actually rode their bicycles to get anywhere. Ahh, good old days.

If you plan to have some nice picnics this spring/summer we suggest you jump over to our shop and grab one right now! Then you can arrive in style.

Boomer Rechargeable Lights from Knog

Once again Knog is lightning up our shop with a new product, the Boomer Rechargeable. The advantage of the normal Boomer is the high powered LED, now you can ad the advantage to recharge your light via your computer, on the upside you save both your hard earned cash and the environment. We keep getting different numbers on the duration on the lights varying from 3.5-6 hours with constant light and up to 12 hours with the led flashing. To be honest we guess we stick to the lower number considering the cool climate in Sweden for now and upgrade once we had time to do a proper test. These lights are super easy to put on and take off so you should always bring them with you when you leave your bike, otherwise those highly sought after lights might get stolen.

What can we say? Boooom. Head over to our shop and have a look here!

New kids on the (b)lock- Fisticuff from Knog

It does not matter if your ride is from BikeID or any other brand, we do not want your bicycle to get stolen, neither does Knog. That is why they have developed this new smart hybrid of a lock and a cable all packaged in their UV resistant silicon that is their trademark we all know from their collection of lights like the Beetle or Boomer

The cable is 1.2 meter with no leverage points and apparently also resistant of extreme temperatures ie liquid nitrogen attacks. Knog themselves give their lock a Pawn shop status which is equal to a 40% out of 100. The fact that you can secure both your front wheel and attach your frame to a pole is a big plus in our opinion. For more pictures head over to Knog  If you want to keep your bike get your Fisticuff here
